UGC: Set up helpline and set up Covid Task Force to set up higher education institutes, UGC advised to deal with the epidemic

UGC: The UGC has said through a letter to universities, colleges and other institutions on Monday 10 May 2021 that they can adopt a number of measures to deal with the current situation. These measures include the formation of a helpline and Covid task force.

UGC: The University Grants Commission (UGC) has instituted higher education across the country to avoid the second phase infection of the Covid-19 epidemic and make concerted efforts against it.

The UGC has, through a letter to universities, colleges and other institutions on Monday, 10 May 2021, stated that they can adopt a number of measures to deal with the current situation. These measures include the formation of a helpline and Covid task force.

At the same time, the Commission has appealed to the institutions to follow the advice and guidelines for desirable behavior and management of institutional activities during the Covid-19 period issued by the Government of India and itself from time to time.

UGC measures include promoting desirable behavior in the Covid era, wearing masks, frequent handwashing with soap, maintaining social distance, testing, detecting suspicious cases and getting appropriate treatment.
