Mahima Kaul, India's director of public policy (India and South Asia), has resigned. But Mahima Kaul will continue to operate Twitter until the end of March this year.

He has been the Public Policy Director of Twitter India for the last 5 years. But now Kaul has resigned for personal reasons.

Micro-blogging company Twitter announced the resignation of Mahima Kaul on Sunday.

Peasant Movement Resigned Amid Controversy

But the Twitter handle of the unruly farmers was blocked by Twitter without the advice of the government, leading to a dispute between the central government and Twitter India.

Then, at a January 2021 parliamentary committee meeting, Twitter officials were asked why Home Minister Amit Shah's tweet handle was blocked.

The Conflict between the Central Government and Twitter

Mahima Kaul's resignation was announced at a time when some of India's international celebrities are trying to polarize India on Twitter. In the last few days, international personalities have been provoking the peasant movement by tweeting about India's internal affairs.

In such a situation, the government has issued a stern warning against the Western interest group making false hashtags and comments on social media, which is completely out of reality.
